Buccaneer bomber. One took out a Cuban /angolan column of trucks and amoured personnel carriers without ammo coming back from a strike. It buzzed the column so low that there was paint of a truck on the belly of the buccaneer.

That's an impresive museum, the ME 262 night fighter is a rare bird indeed..but also the ME-109 tropical and the FW-190!!!! The best part is that the exibits seem to be in a good display facility and manteinance.

Thanks for sharing this amazing historical pieces.

                          Hello Jacques,

I never realized such items were in SA! My wife is from that country, but she never told me!

Any clue how the Molch ended up overthere?

                          Kind regards,

                          Maurice

I visited this museum (near Jo'burg) in 2006, few hours before taking my flight back to Europe. It was pouring, and we were at a Goldmine before. When I arrived there I had no spare battery for my camera so I couldn't shot any picture. Thanks for sharing these with us, then !
I particularly liked the Boer War section of the museum...if you have some shots,I'd love to see them
                              regards Matt

Matt, sorry I just took pics of interest to the forum guys. There is quite a big focus an the Boer war and all the other wars our lot was involved. Seems we like being involved in wars. We have been fighting since we arrived in Africa in 1652 and everywhere else. Jacques
