    1- men of FIRST SPECIAL SERVICE FORCE run back of destroyed Tiger on Prenestina road..

      3- on the same road, a US Sherman Tank open the fire against a german tank..

                          Very nice and interesting photos Here is a poto of my grandfather (HG division) which says on the reverse: February 44, Rome. Do you have any idea where it could have been taken? I suppose it is some kind of tourist spot...

                            Yes I know: is the Coliseum...and exactly in the spot that you can see in the picture below. If you want, when I have a little bit of time, I can go to take exactly the same shot.

                              that's fantastic! You're fantastic! I believed this spot could never be identified. That's great. Thank you so much! This brings some extra light into my grandfather's history in WWII. I really appreciate that.
