    Repro French "Lizard" uniforms?

Has anyone stumbled across any reproductions of the French "lizard" para uniforms from the Indochina or Algeria-era? Having never really done much of any reenactment this side of the industrial revolution, I'm largely ignorant of sources for more "modern" reenactment.

    Lizard Camo

Hi Chris. I have a hand in on that side of the pond, & so far i have not come across any sources. The only post-WWII
reenacting i know of myself is the US- Vietnam War.

However, many French troops in Indo wore US & Brit WWII camo, & this IS available in repro. All you need is the French insignia.

I think there is one group on the planet that does Foreign Legion, and they're several hundred (if not a couple thousand) miles from where I live.

I still have a preference for the good old tenue léopard for the sheer coolness of it, but I've gradually been coming to the same realization myself about the US and the British camo. Guess I ought to scoop up that set of British P37 webbing that's been languishing at the local surplus store for the last year or so...

      Thanks,

        Lizard Camo

There does seem to be a good supply of cheap original Lizard shelter halfs or pup tents - i saw them in Sportsman's Guide or Cheaper Than Dirt. A good tailor could sew you some "field-made" headgear or para smock out of these.

But I've seen this about a fair bit here in the UK so, it's out there.
