Trip to Crete - what to visit

Hi folks,

A friend of mine is goin' to Crete and, as he has interest on military history, he would like to know if there is good places or museum related to the German airbone invasin of the island in 1941 or related with the German Occupation, resistance fighters and so on. Scuba diving places near Crete are also desirable!!!!

Please, help me with some good advices!
