SS Kriegsberichter?

Hi, I would like to know how the kriegsberichters worked in the SS (or Heer), what ranks they normally had and so on? It seems hard to find good information about this so if someone knows or can show me where to find information I would a appreciate this.

There also are several books on the subject in German, NARA has large holdings on the SS-KBAs. We are researching a new book for Munin-Verlag now on SS War Artist Franz Leitl that will have information on the organization of SS KB units coming out later this year.
