    Last WWI Ottoman vet dies

    I posted this in Die Kneipe already, but I think it's really more relevant here:

    A few months ago it was the last German vet. Now Ottoman. The only vet left from the Central Powers was an Austro-Hungarian soldier and there are only about a dozen total, many of whom didn't see action.

    Soon they will all be gone.
