          The M35 repros that Hessen Antique puts out seem to be quite nice. Not sure where they're sourced from, but they're certainly not pot metal. I "distressed" mine rather vigorously against the edge of a cinder block during the repainting process, and it held up quite well.

            You did a pretty good job on it landsknechte! Does the shell have the farby edelweiss stamp on the inside?

              Unless it's tucked away somewhere weird that you wouldn't see with the liner in place, it doesn't have it. The only marking that I've seen is the size stamped on the leather in ink.

                if it had the edelweiss stamp it would be clearly visable it would be on the inside left cheek just behind the maker/size stamping.

                    just as an update look on the helmet and bazzar sections there are some GREAT deals on post war painted helmets at the mo!!
