Great new pics, Don! We did just miss each other, as I was there two weeks ago.
Were the original elevator benches still sitting there, in the Kehlsteinhaus elevator waiting room (the circular marble room)? Two weeks ago, the three original benches were sitting there along the wall. I think they had been used in a recent TV filming.

Hi Geoff - Had it not been raining we would have been able to see a few more sites like the Coal Bunker, etc. We walked down past the site of the SS kaserne and looked up at the site of the Göringhügel. As for the benches, they were not present - that room gets packed with people waiting to board the elevator...
Also, thanks to Geoff's book, my son had a great time collecting the small green and brown plastic strips that were part of the camouflage netting that can be found around the Obersalzburg complex site - had Geoff not mentioned them in his book, I never would have given them a second glance.
