I forget who asked but this is a 40R, M43 model Lost Battalions rear view:

I can not personally comment on Virginia's uniforms, but I have had a few things tailored by her and that work is excellent.

i have long arms, so the off-the-rack LB 40R's sleeves are way to short on me. this isn't even my own jacket anyways

thanks for the lost battalions pictures, great shots. my criticism here is it seems the tunics werent made long enough. originals had several lengths, but this firm seemed to churn out just the one short look, i think based on a limited reference to photographic material.
shame these tunics werent made longer for body shapes requiring such a shape. SURELY some company can take up the lost battalion idea, and make tunics based on original designs. i agree, lost battalions had the very best eye for tunic shape generally. they should have made longer options though.
so where are the tunic makers now?

I don't know of any even being made in the U.S. anymore. I think they are nearly all being made in China. I would also like to know if a good quality tunic is being made here, mine have had some major "closet shrinkage" in the last couple of years.

Lost Battalions and SM Wholesale are the only tunics being produced in large batches in the US. AFAIK

On the March makes the best tunics I have seen bar none. Virginia s attention to detail is far superior to Lost Battalions and SM Wholesale. Purchase her products with no worry!

Do not sell all Chinese tunics short. AntZ Militaria produces a tunic that's on par with LB or SM Wholesale. I know this will open a can of worms, but I have compared my tunics from ANTZ and they are good quality reproductions.

closet shrinkage is a problem. but so is closet enlargement. ive experienced them both. in the first case, excessive intake of carbohydrates over an extended period without reciprocal exercise succeeded in a wardrobe malfunction ill happily call 'closet shrinkage'. on the other hand bouts of dieting produced a closet enlargement situation. doesnt effect gloves, caps or ankle boots though, luckily.
