    Model guns

    Hello!

I wonder where I can find model guns of weapons from World War 2 ?
I know a store in the UK and Germany but thats all...I dont want to buy de-act weapons because here in Sweden you won't get a licens on a MG34

So give me your best websites, doesnt matter where the store is!

The only problem with WWIIGuns.com is that they are god-awful expensive. In many cases, it is cheaper to get the real guns. Unfortunatly, many people in Europe can't get the real thing.

$800 for a cap firing MP40... not TOO bad if you really wanted something like this.

I would rather buy a BD-38 or DeWat MP-38/40, but if you cannot own them and do not a have a choice I guess it is not a bad idea... But why can you not buy DeWats in sweden??

I have heard that WWIIguns.com only steals your money and don't ship the guns out...? I have heard that from many people...have someone else order something there?

In Sweden you must be a lucky man to get licens on machine guns or so, or you must have a good argument why you want to buy a machine gun!

          Best wishes from Per.

I dont know what dewat mp40 costs in US/CAN but here in europe they cost way more than working ones nowdays(not seen many, but the ones i´ve seen were more than 1000euros).Even good dewat K98 can cost more than twice the price of working one.And 400eur for dewat k98 is a lot, when you get working one with 250euros.Truth is that everything genuine WW2 german stuff is costly nowdays in europe.

same thing here in Canada you can buy a fully operational mg34 or 42 etc cheaper than a dewat. One reason is to own an operstional fully automatic weapon you must have a special PAL(possession aquisition licence) which is very hard to get and also have special storage vault for it. And if you do have the permit and own one you can't fire it on any club range or even on your own property. So hence the low price for them. Dewats are another thing they require no permits what so ever, and the demand for them is high which jacks up the price

reguarding "model" guns also referred to as replica guns here in canada they are a prohibited item. But if you owned one before this new law came into effect on Dec1 1998 you may keep it. You may not lend it, sell it, or give it away. If you no longer want it you must destroy it or turn it into the police for destruction. Find it very strange that someone can buy, own and possess a dewat which was a real weapon but can't possess or buy a replica weapon which never was a real weapon to start with

Well only grandfathered people who have the 12.X status can buy full autos... and that is very very few. For most people it isn't hard to get, it is impossible to get.

You can however buy non-restricted, semi auto belt fed machine guns here. You can also legally use 250 round belts. They are expensive, but still live firing and semi auto. Those are wicked cool.

I agree, even more so in full auto.

Has anyone else seen the miniature 1:2 scale full-auto reproductions of machine guns like the M1919-A4 that take belt-fed .22s or .17s? Kind of a neat little toy, especially since the chances of getting a real one are slim. Perfect for people who like to blow through tons of cheap ammo. Check out the vid below:

That "Toy" is just as prohibited as the actual machine gun in Canada.

My point about the semi-auto version is that we can legally own it and shoot it in Canada, so if you cannot buy a full auto version a semi auto is the next best thing.

I know, I know, Canada isn't that much fun when it comes to guns....

Don't feel too bad Rylan, at least you guys in Canada have more freedom to collect guns than those in the UK. I feel sorry for them, what with their police raids to confiscate and destroy replica and deact firearms11dohbanghead:

Plus, take comparable comfort in the fact that the laws here in the US could become just as bad soon, depending on the results of the 2008 election. Hopefully not. Good thing I can vote!

I have no problems with the gun laws here in Canada actually I like them. Here an honest law abideing citizen can obtain PAL's by taking and passing the required safety courses and applying for the PAL's for the weapons they want to buy or collect. At least everyone has taken the SAFETY course. Also it the owner's responsibility to see that their weapons are stored safely and secured

                            Don't buy ANYTHING from http://www.wwiiguns.com/

The owner is a well known scammer in the airsoft community, having stolen 1000s of $ from people.

Ryland which is also nice about the semi auto mg34's from Marstar is you can go hunting in Ontario with it and use a 250 round belt but if you use a drum mag you can only have 5 founds in the drum wierd eh?
