3 unidentified bodies were found by a local farmer in Normandy. Apparently young soldiers. Was also found 1 helmet, 1 canteen, 3 SS belt, 1 MG34 kit, some buttons. No dog tags.

            translation

            Here's the translation

The bones of three German soldiers, unearthed "coincidentally" Monday by a farmer in Burcy in Calvados (Ouest-France, February 6), were exhumed yesterday morning.
According to village elders, the field in question has been the scene of heavy fighting around August 10, 1944. The only surprise search lay in the identification of remains. However, no identification plate has been found. Only a helmet, a gourd, three belts SS, a few buttons and a dress required maintenance MG34 machine gun were extracted from the ground.Michel Roca, a physician in Vassy, mandated by the prosecutor to confirm the origin of human bones, said he was very young "soldiers" in view of their teeth. One element that could prove crucial to put a name on the soldiers. "I brought the bones at the cemetery in La Cambe," says Lucien Tisserand, Conservative, "I will try to reconstruct the skeletons and create a diagram dental." A report will be forwarded to the military archives in Berlin and the remains will go to Champigny-the-Futelaye (Eure). Of the dozen discoveries of this type, each year in Normandy and Brittany "few are identified

No, I wasnt there, though I would have liked to.
Hopefully this kind of story can help turn some black diggers around. They say they find about 10 bodies in Normandy per year, but 10 others are probably found by black diggers who are afraid of getting into trouble, and think about how many $$ they can get by selling the relics. I have met some guys like that myself...
