Absolutely the best pictures ever seen. The composition, emotions and of course accuarcy of item + uniforms made the best impression. Just can imagine in the year 2o85 people debating in a forum which picture is real and which is "fake". Thanks God I won't be around by then...

Some of those photos work as damn good portrait regardless of the genre (76, 95), while I love that authentic lens flare on #35. the square format works wonderfully, too. Are you using a Rolleiflex/cord or similar?

          Sunny and Paul:

Thanks for the kind words.....The square format photo's are done with an old Mamiya330? Something like that. I also shoot digitally during the battles. Some people say it is the farby way to go, but, as a working photographer, I do not want to chance losing any images to a 60+ year old camera. I also do not want to haul a vintage leica thru the mud, snow......rather screw up a digital that is replaceable....

We have another battle this weeekend, so, there should be a lot of new stuff up by next week.

Dave, there is a photo of Dan R. (aka Otto) standing in a trench near a lien-to, where was that taken?

Yes, Dan says since he sold his bicycle he has put on some pounds. Unfortunately, he is not the only one. This dovetails into the comments earlier in this thread about overweight and middleaged.

When I was in my 20's, which is the ideal age for reenacting, I did not have the funds to buy this stuff. The reenacting/reproduction market has improved considerably. I wish I could have had then what I have now.
