    Hope you can help me. My family and I are going on hollyday to Creta this sommer

    Do you know some homepages adresses where I can find some Creta maps
    regarding the fighting in ww2

      Hi Codemann

      I was in Crete 5-6 years ago, I visited two museums there in Chania one of them only about WWII fighting, the other more general war museum with marine stuff also. Went scubadiving in some small bay, where I found a lot of ammunition. There was a lot of action in the area around Suda bay, assault by german paratroopers. Outside Chania there is an airport(if I remember right) which the allied tried to defend, but lost. I was on a trip visiting a monestary(kloster) where the german had a headquarter or something like that there. Call me if you want to hear more. Don't put your hopes up high, to find some german stuff there(would love to find a paratrooper helmet ) I think it's all gone
