Directions to the street where Heydrich’s assassination took place

    Hi all-

I will be in Prague this weekend and would like to find the exact spot where the assassination attempt on Reinhard Heydrich took place.

If anyone could provide me with directions on how to find the stretch of road where this momentous event unfolded I would be most appreciative.

    Thanks in advance,
    Rob

I would recommend you get yourself the "After the battle"-magazine no. 24 (ebay might be a source. or maybee you can find it at Praha, too), this great magazine feat. a 30+ page article, with lots of then&now-fotos, maps, etc. of the assassination, the following menhunt, and the tragic end in a church-basement.

I will post some (quickly taken, so not best quality) images to give you an idea.

                            Gran-

Thanks so much for posting these scans! Unfortunately, I don't think it will be possible to obtain a copy of ATB before Friday, but I would really appreciate it if you could send me some nice clear scans of the maps... Sending you a PM - thanks!

I just finished reading "The Killing of SS Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich" by C.MacDonald and I must say it will be most exciting to walk the streets where so much history took place.

                            Thanks again,
                            Rob

I read that book as well, it is really good. I also liked the movie "Operation Daybreak" with Timothy Bottoms and Anton Diffring (as Heydrich). I believe it was filmed on location.
