Austrailian War Memorial
Fantastic pictures, thanks for posting. I was most interested to see the Lancaster. My Mother's cousin was a Flight Engineer on this aircraft for time. He completed 30 (Doubt that they were all on "G for George" )ops but on the day he finished, a fellow engineer was sick. Austin took his place. This was his last op as the Lanc was shot down over Holland with the loss of all the crew.

the Lancaster, Flak gun and Messerscmidtt were all part of an integrated simulation and had voices of Aircraft control as well as other pilots and ground crew,along with a movie of a raid over germany, in an attempt to demonstrate what these brave men endured.

Hi Scott great pics, yes the Australian war memorial is one of the best in the world.
Most local towns or suburbs have War Memorials and RSL clubs honouring all those who served in all theatres of war.
