    Beaufort U.S.M.C.A.S. Air Show '07

Well if you guys have been watching CNN or any national news organization you know about what happened yesterday here in my hometown. Yesterday right at the end of the show, Blue Angel 6 clipped a tree and crashed taking the life of the young pilot. The Blue Angels did not perform today. Please if you are a religious person please send a prayer up for the family of the young pilot. Witness' say that the 6 were forming up for their formation pass; went behind the tree line(as normal) but only 5 came up and there was a huge cloud of black smoke. Blue Angel 1 broke off and marked the crash site by flying circles with his show smoke going. Other witness' who live in the area where he crashed said that they saw him dumping fuel like crazy. This man is a hero he chose to stay with the plane rather then eject and risk injuring or killing others. 8 minor injuries have been reported, but other than that and some holes in peoples houses and vehicles from pieces of plane and branches no one else was hurt. The Blue Angels flew out last night to be with their fallen's family. I also attended the show today and took these pictures.

They started the show by having the Geico Sky Writers do the missing man formation in his honor. And at the end the Red Baron Bi-planes did the heart for his family.

My in flight photos arent as good as my ground ones but I hope you enjoy them all the same. I am the guy in some of the pics (obviously LOL :P) and the young lady accompanying me is my girlfriend. She takes an interest in collecting and military items just about as much as me and am thankful to have someone besides my parents to rattle on about this stuff to. LOL All the best, Jon
