        It was one year ago and I was on an Fleemarket here in germany.I saw an Afrika Buckle with freshly removed Swastika the guy ho wanted to sell it
        told he did it him self because the sign is forbiden (The buckle was brand new)

          I still have my grandfathers EK2 and the award document. He was a POW in a british camp. As far as i know he was hiding his EK together with an officer's dagger and an FN High Power in his panties. He later managed to escape from the camp by shooting 2 British soldiers and somehow got home. What i find surprising is, that the award document was denazified by removing the top of the paper ("Im Namen des F******252;hrers"). there are is still a stamp with a swastika on the bottom of the paper. The iron cross is still in great shape, as well as his belt buckle and the officers dagger. Non of them were ever denazified. For those who might be interested in the pistol, I used to own it (and even fired it at new years eve) untill the divorce of my parents. My father was afraid my mother would tell the police about any illegal weapons, so he sold it.
