WW1 training trench

Hi Guys, a former WW1 training trench has been discovered in the UK close to where my daughter lives and is to be preserved:

The area was also used in WW2 by the RAF. I have walked the grounds and found many items of broken china with RAF markings.

Hi Adrian,
good news to hear i don`t suppose there is any information on other site of this nature ? here in my home town there is what could be a trench system.
It has been mentioned that this is where "nellie" the trench digging machine was once trialled but i belive the machine was trialled at Clumber Pk Nr Worksop.

Hi Steve,
good to hear from you, hope all is well.
The site i am refering to is the wooded area opposite the rifle range in QUEENS PARK (on the other side of the field) it was mentioned to me several years ago about it being used for trench warfare pratice.

On this side of the chanel, old bunkers and trenches are still considered are war trash that sould be gotten rid of...
