    Blank Firing MP44?

    Hello,

Are there any blank firing MP44s on the market which I can purchase for reenacting? I am looking for a blank-firing MP44, which I could use for my reenacting impression (US soldier; captured MP44).

    Are there any?

Hi Mark, I do not know of any available in the US. There are some being designed in the UK at present which may be out in the next year or so.

Use of a captured weapon is something many groups will frown upon. Over here many Germans love to use PPsh41's if they can. They have all watched "Cross of Iron" too many times

      Cheers, Ade.

Hehe, i'm looking for a mp44 to, but its not easy to find a legal one here (als iemand der een weet, PM me)
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

The reenacting group i'm looking into is a little liberal in their requirements due to the low level of membership... but they stay close to originality, with some differences

            MReid,
No BF only MP44's are made in the US, none, I have talked to Chuck at he SSRoom several times about making one but the cost and time for him is just to great for him at the moment. I have seen a HK semi-auto .223 converted to look like a MP44 and it was very well done and fired the military 5.56mm (.223) blanks perfectly but it was a total custom one-of-a-kind job.
            Best,
            GregB

There's one available in Germany, but not Stateside.

I'm sorry to say, but if I as a German Reenactor saw you walking up with an MP44, there's only one thing I'd think ... FARB

Same goes in my mind for Germans carrying M1's or non-eastern front units carrying ppsh's..If you want firepower, perhaps you should consider a Thompson or a Grease gun - both of which are available in blank firing and semi/auto here in the States.
