    Motorcycle officer impression

I'm want to create a good Heer motorcycle lieutenant impression. I have a couple of questions before I go ahead and starting buying things.

    - What would be the correct waffenfarbe color for my uniform?

    - Other than the normal tunic, trousers etc. for other heer officers, is there anything specific I need to have for a good moto impression?

    - I'm buying a Ural Gear-up sidecar motorcycle, does anyone have any experience or know someone who does on converting the Ural to look even more closely to the WWII BMW?

Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thank you very much.

It would help to know which type of Ural You want to buy (the new Ranger I guess) and what BMW type You want to make out of it.

The only Ural what is really close to a BMW is the old M71 (or later the Chinese M72 Yangtzee or Chang Jiang), because it was made under license with original blue prints and tools, a Russian BMW R71.

If want something unique - You need a Kradmantel, the rubberized coat.

You should wear the Waffenfarbe of the unit you command. I assume you are a reenacting unit commander because you want to do an officer impression. People who show up at reenactments dressed as officers without sizeable units (at least 30 men) are generally regarded as fools by other reenactors. Of course if you just want to dress up and ride around town that is something different altogether.

"Motorcycle officer" - think he means an officer of the Kradschützen batalions. The first of them were of cavalry origin and all of them were associated to their regiments as reconnaissance troops.
That means golden/yellow Waffenfarbe except if they were associated to a Panzer-Division, then they had pink as Waffenfarbe.

I'm just doing this for my own fun and enjoyment. I don't plan on starting or joining a group of people.
