                    I know I've seen that one before. It was someone's attempt at a "controversial" art piece. I can't remember if the artist was French or Italian.

                      Yep it was made for a controversial art piece about 3 years ago but I dont think it ever saw the light of day

                        I'm pretty sure its an M-35 even though the size of the vent from straight on looks like an M40

                          Here's what I found online about it:

                          "An artist’s rendering of a giant Nazi-era German Army helmet is transported by truck through Le Marais, Paris' mainly Jewish quarter. The helmet, which created a stir in the neighbourhood when it was first put on display in the gallery’s courtyard a year ago, was transferred to a storage place in the Paris suburbs. The helmet was made in Bulgaria by 32-year-old Italian artist Marco Boggio Sella"
