This battery had 4, 21cm. Mrs.18 guns with a range of 18700m. It's location was in land about 10km with car from the coast battery. I don't know if it ever opened fire. Today most of it is gone because of industri in and around where it used to be. Anyway, here are some pics from what's left

Direction of fire. They had to shoot above the mountains.

        Ammo Bunker?
I'm not sure, they are located on the hill top behind the gun possitions. It could be ammo for the Flak if there was any Flak on this battery.

          One more.
It had to be ammo bunkers for Flak since the 21cm Mrs. grenades weigh 113-121kg.

            One living quarter for Em?
There was one big house on the back side of the mountain and one smaller near by the farm house.
Some of the soldiers even lived in the farm house.

Here is what makes this fun.
In 1993 I found this here.

Jotuntroll, this is the good part with forums like this, you can get to see, in this case german bunkers from other parts of the world and your own country.
We don't live that far away from each other (2 hours drive by car), but I never seen any of the bunkers you have shown us here before and I've been to Haugesund many times.

Just after I found the trophy I coulden't resist so I shown it to the owner of the land.

Thanks for sharing. I truly enjoy these pictures of old fortifications in Norway. What I would really like to see is some pictures of these when they were in use. There seems to be no end to present day pictures but no pictures what so ever of when they were active. Now the football trophy is a tangible link to the past. That is really neat!
