saw this in paper yesterday looks interesting 3 u boats have just been found of newquay in a secret mine trap, u325,u400,and u1021 they were thought to have been depth charged in bristol channel

Efforts to clear sea mines lasted for many years after the war. That included both allied and German minesweeping forces. Only a few months after the end of the war the German Minesweeping Administration or GMSA was set up for this purpose. Made up of KM minesweeping units using their own vessels, although disarmed, and wearing their own uniforms.
many ships too were sunk or damaged by mines long after the war and has been mentioned they still wash up from time to time.
