When the FJ wears his knee pads for jumping, why are they worn on the outside of his pants? I thought the reason for the access to the knee area was easy access to put the knee pads on and to remove them. Just an observation.

- ROTFL!!!! - But seriously? The early type of knee protecters were internal, so inside the trousers. By pulling a ring, they would open up, so to speak, and fall down loose inside the pants. The reason for the openings on the knee. Later on, the external ones were produced, but the pants still had the openings. Maybe because the first type was still occasionally used?
