Nico that book is a MUST Vital for any trip to the "Bulge" I think.

          Kameraden,
I have a bunch of fotos that I used as referance when I visited Trois Ponts, Malmedy, and Stavlot. Most of them I got from "Battle of the Bulge Now and Then". If you want, I can scan them and post them. There are a ton of locations you can see easily. Especially if you take the old road from Malmedy to Trois Ponts then onto Coo then to La Gleize. The new road runs parallel to the old road but the two are about 200 meters apart. Once you pass Stavlot you are pretty much on the original road. Once you cross under the rail road tracks into Trois Ponts I was able to match up locations of the American anti tank gun that fired on Peiper's lead Panther. Make a left there and you will find the bridge that was blown to stop the German advance into Trois Ponts. There is a nice little roadside memorial there. Make the right and you will be on your way to Coo and La Gleize. I wish I could join you all there.

Sepp, that was the road I was suggesting to the others . Starting from Baugnez crossroads to the railway stationof Stoumont, where the deepest advance was halted.
