I m look for German soldier, please help!

I search for the person by name Heinz Drescher, sailor Kriegsmarine. It was at war during WWII. Help me to establish its destiny. Whether it has survived or lost? By what ship served? Whether it is possible to communicate now with it or its relatives? I am engaged in search of the lost Russian the soldier in Russia. And I have personal things Heize Drescher. I from a military historical museum in Russia. Help please. Any ideas.

Hmm, I don't have any ideas really, I hope you can get some help here. I do think this could be a good start on trying to find him, but maybe searches in your area would help too.

Sorry I couldn't have been much help, and I hope you like our forums.

    Good luck friend!

The Volksbund site finds only one man with such name, however this does NOT mean it is the same man. It may be another man with similar name.

How do you do a search and navigate the sight if you don't speak German?

Was he an officer or enlisted? If he was an officer, it's possible to find info from the US archives building. I know a guy who will look there for you, again, if he was an officer.

Matrose is like a seaman in US navy terms, so he was enlisted.
