    Tommy Ricketts, V.C

    Just thought I'd show this commemorative plague that is just down the road from my house. Tommy Ricketts was a local soldier who won the Victoria Cross in WW1. I figured someone might appreciate it, as it is a prestigious award.

        Thanks guys we're proud of the sacrafice the soldiers from this island have made. He was 17 years old when he won this award. Amazing when you think about it!
