Dear all,
Some of you might know that I 'took a dive into the deep' by buying and trying to restore a DKW NZ 350-1 motorcycle. The bike dates from 1944 and was still running until August this year!
I bought it in Hamburg from a 76-year old man who had 'assembled' it in 1957 from 'old parts'. As usual, there were some parts missing and I am in process of acquiring it all so that later this year it is fully functional (I hope.....).
Yesterday, I collected all parts that had been to the painter...and they look like new! I am very happy with the result!
The re-building will start next week and I thought it a nice initiative to keep you posted of the developments...Hereby the 1st series with pictures of the bike 'in parts' (only those that have been painted!) There is a lot more!!.
To be continued....
Best regards,
Coco
