I just left if there, as I didn't have the means to salvage it. Of course if I found something like that today, it would be different. I also did some digging at the barracks outside Plimiri, at the south end of the island. Found alot of shell casings, clips, cannon shells and trenches, all dating from the skirmishes between German and Italian troops in September, 1943.
