    Hi Ade,
    Yes not all changes are an improvement, I take it you noticed some changes in the displays at the Hartenstein museum too? One room now shows only a small glass display case, 2 tv-screens and a couple of blow up pictures of Polish men. Not very attractive if you ask me, but it is nice to see a couple of 2nd pattern Denison smocks in one picture.

    Cheers, Luc

                      Holland.

                      This year was my first time going to Holland. So I was a little trigger happy with my camera. I had an absolutely fantastic time, the dutch people are very accomodating, especially the staff in the Schoonard!

                      Anyway, here is a selection of photos from the trip.

                      The journey there;

                      Taken in the Overloon Museum, if you go to Holland, make sure you visit this museum, they are an awesome collection of vehicles and equipment. If you know Gary XXI (on the right) you know that the vehicle hes standing next to aint small!

                      Fast forward a few days now, we are about to set off for Oosterbeek and meet the XXI veterans and families.

                      We laid some flowers on the XXI memorial on the crossroads in Oosterbeek to remember those fallen.

                      Memorial to the house some members of the XXI IPC occupied during the fighting.

                      And during the afternoon we went on a drive to the drop zones, and we couldn't believe it when a Dakota flew over (on its way to the new RAF memorial near the Hartenstein) so I quickly snapped a picture.

                      Thats about all I have to offer.

                      Cheers,

                      Ramsey Green.

                                [quote=Adrian Stevenson;1600857]Hi Guys, just returned home on Tuesday after my annual trip by my 1942 Airborne Jeep to Arnhem for the commemorations of the 1944 battle. I have done this every year since 1994. quote]

                                Hi Adrian, terrific thread and great to see so many people remembering those that fell.

                                How is the result of this battle considered today? a victory for the Axis? an unmitigated disaster for the Allies?
