Berlin Memorial question

Two of my friends have just returned from their honeymoon in Berlin where they came across this memorial to the 'sacrifice of National Socialism'. They have asked me to try and find out some information about it, but so far, my efforts have been fruitless.
The design at the top appears to incorporate the 'KZ' abbreviation for 'Konzentrationslager' along with a representation of the colour-coded triangle worn by the inmates.
Any information would be much appreciated.

I think you will probably find that this memorial is next to the Nollendorfplatz UBahn station.
The area around Nollendorfplatz in Sch******246;neberg has always been a popular area for homosexuals, even until this day.

Lots of them were transported from the Nollendorfplatz station to the concentration camps, the pink triangle being the identifying mark for homosexuals.

The pink triangle (German: Rosa Winkel) was one of the Nazi concentration camp badges, used by the Nazis to identify male prisoners in concentration camps who were sent there because of their homosexuality. Every prisoner had to wear a triangle on his or her jacket, the color of which was to categorize him or her according "to his kind." Jews had to wear the yellow badge, and "anti-social individuals" (which included vagrants, "work shy" individuals and often, but not exclusively, lesbians), the black triangle.
The inverted pink triangle has become an international symbol of gay pride and the gay rights movement, and is second in popularity only to the rainbow flag.
