      It was destroyed by direct US gun hits.
      During the battle of Metz 30 german artillerists occupied this bunker and
      shot at bridges and convois.US replied with artillery fire but due to theconstruction of the bunker's front and the curve of flying grenades the bunker coiulnd't be destroyed.
      US troops advanced a 155 cm gun and attacked it from the side. The german
      troops noticing that the impacts continued being on the same place realized that the aim was to break the bunker's wall at one place and they escaped just before the grenades passed through the wall

            Intact bunker for comparison. It must be noted that the destructions had been repaired after the war since the french army ocupied the entire infrastructure until the 70's
