Blocks 1 and 2 are identical.

These are two blocks with machine-gun turrets. They take up the double
duty of responding to frontal action and flanking action, towards the fort of
Soetrich for block 1, and towards the casemate of Kanfen for block 2.
They ensured a long distance action since the range of the machine-guns
was approximately 1200m.
Closer defense was ensured by two spotting turrets for each block,
The centre piece of the block is the machine-gun turret. It is armed with a
twin "Reibel" MAC 31F machine-gun similar to those equipping the entrance
block and block 3.

The structure necessary to the survival of the total crew of 198 men for a three
month siege: Kitchen, medical station, rest rooms, storage rooms can be found at
the fort's gravity center.

These underground barracks are located on two separate levels.
