    Hitler's Prinzregentenplatz apartment?

    Hi guys-

I'm going to be spending a few days in Munich, and I was wondering if someone here could tell me how/where to find Hitler's Prinzregentenplatz apartment. Exactly where in the city is it located?

    Thanks in advance!

      Mike-

Thanks. I'm quite familiar with that site. Very informative indeed!

What I was asking is if somone could tell me where on Prinzregentenplatz the apartment is? Are there any landmarks to look for? I take it it's near the Bbayerisches Nationalmuseum?

      Thanks,
      Rob

        Location

        Rob,

Here is a map. I am not sure how well the details will show up in the image but the apartment is spot 43. It is located at the southwest corner of Prinzregentenstrasse and Grillparzerstrasse. It is east of the Isar.

The map is in the front of the book "Hitler and Munich" which contains details on all of the buildings and landmarks that remain.

Head east on Prinzregentenstrasse.......past the large 'Peace Angel' monument.......past the statue to Wagner on the south side of the street.......you come to Prinzregentenplatz........and the flat is on your right at the far corner of the square. It's a police station now. It's a 5-10 minute walk from the large monument.

              Mike-

Thanks for the map- that's exactly what I was looking for.

Robin- Thanks for the info. And Yes, Munich is a wonderful city!

Nice picture, by the way. I found the remains of the Ehrentempel on my last trip to Munich back in 2003, and I plan on visiting them again on this trip... No telling how much longer they'll be there

              Thanks again, guys.
