Hi all, was looking for ww2 German and American combat uniform repros that I can display original equipment on and will fit me. I was looking at "at the fronts" offerings. Any advice on who has the most accurate, affordable items? thanks in advance. mjb

Repro Uniforms
MJB,
At the Front (ATF) has excellent german repro uniforms. They are imports like most on the market. Lost Battalions makes theirs in Texas. They have a super product but a little more expensive. IThere also is a guy on ebay that goes by the name of Keith. He is from Singapore but he offers tunics and trousers for around $210.00. I believe he is the best deal out there. All of the tunics will need a little work;exception being Lost Battalions.
I would shop around for the US Stuff. The prices vary from place to place. What Price Glory has some fantastic US uniforms. They are very accurate and compare really well with the originals.
The key is to shop around and get some imput from good reenactors prior to purchasing.
This is only my opinion and you know how those are.

Hello mjb,
i have always had a soft spot for the product line at:
http://www.lostbattalions.com/
Their German line of tunics have the best colour, pattern, wool, and fit in my experience, much better than the Janke product line of the last few years i feel.

The best reproduction German uniforms on the market are from Lost Battalions. Those sold by At the Front are made by Sturm. Sturm tunics are good for the money, the best place to buy them is from http://www.hessenantique.com/ The owner of that site is a member of this Forum and they are cheaper than At the Front for the same product. I have seen the eBay German uniforms from "Hong Kong Keith" and they are rubbish, the cut and materials are awful- they even have plastic buttons! The Sturm product is not much more expensive but is much more accurate.
