In need of small artillery pieces

To those who are re-enactors, especially German re-enactors, I need help.
I went to a tactical of the Battle of the Bulgde, and the Germans were out numbered 2 to 1. The GI's had Mortors (120 rounds), 2-Bazookas 8 shots each.

So I am working on some plans to make snap mines and trip wires that set off smoke grenades. Sine I do a Panzer Grenadier impression this is right up my alley.

What I need is some idea that have worked for others in the past and present.
During the tactical we Germans shot, died, and retreated. When the GI's launched their mortors 5 guys were taken out of the front line. Then another 5, then the bazookas fired and took out our machine gun nest. All we had was small arms.

This is AWFUL in my book. The German Wehrmacht was better than this. They mined the fronts, laid trip wires, did everything they could to stop the frontal assault of the attacking enemy.

So any ideas would be nice.

    Thanks,

    Hah!
    Man. Count your blessings.
When I first started re-enacting WW2 in the Early 80s, the German troops were ALWAYS outnumbered (at LEAST 6:4 ratio). Shooting & Scooting was about the best any unit could do (of course, not every Tom, Dick and Johann had an MG either).

Then it evened out, and through much of the 90s the Germans seem to outnumber the ALlies... which sucks because units get stuck out in nowhere with no action....

If its back to being OUTNUMBERed again.... you better watch what you pray for becuase you just might get it.

and really, taking a hit because of a mortar round is not a bad thing at all.
