As you all know Sven Hassel's books are all fiction. But sometime they contain real facts and are very accurate in some details. The problem is to identify those parts!
In one of his stories, Hassel says that germans never used poisonous gas during the war, but on the other hand, the chemical product used to create smoke curtains were very toxic and could even disable the enemy.
Right or wrong? This assertion may have a sense in my opinion, but never heard it elsewhere.
