    Panzer Museum near Munster

Hi Folks: Driving back toward Frankfurt from northern Germany....saw the Panzermuseum sign on the autobahn....driving past Munster. My wife “talked me” into Visiting it. The signs said Tuesday-Sunday open...and it was Monday...but when we got there ..it was open. It was fantastic...We both really enjoyed it. We had our own personal tour guide...nice older gentleman (worker/volunteer) followed us around and noticed we were Americans...and offered to escort us around...super nice. I’ll post pictures later.

    It’s a must. Super display.

Looking forward in seeing your photos. I haven't been there since the late 1980s, but it is on my list to see it again.

My wife and I enjoyed seeing this museum. This panzer tank stone sculpture was at Patch Barracks (EUCOM HQ) down in Stuttgart...but when I saw this at the museum....I knew right where it used to be in 1934-35

I had to get pictures of the 88 along with the gauges for the 88. Some newer track vehicles. the small sign was for the tank stone sculpture which was at Patch Barracks in Stuttgart when the Kaserne was Heer Panzer 1934/35

Didn’t know they had a Königstiger over there. Is it on on loan?

No problem.....I recall others saying that this museum was a must. I also recall the British army having a large element in area when I worked for the US Army as a civilian from 1980-90...but I never made up there. Due to the COVID-19...we elected to stay in Germany and visit area we’ve never seen....so we headed north...and we are glad we did. Thank you for everyone’s comments...the volunteer/worker who provided us a personal guided tour was really a blessing. He was super nice....and spoke perfect English....very knowledgeable. Again....Thank you!
