Long time lurker and first time poster.
Not sure this is the right place for this type of question so, bear with me.
Ever since childhood I have been fascinated with the DAK. I always wanted to own a field cap. About a 20 years ago I discovered companies make repro gear for the re-enactors and,so, purchased a DAK field cap from Lost Battalions. The reason for the purchase was to wear it. That is why the reproduction rather than an original.
Fast forward 20 years and the hat is in a shambles. i need a new repro hat. I went to Lost Battalions but alas,it appears they no longer offer the officer's model m40 tropical field cap.
So, I turn to you in the hope you can recommend a company that produces a quality reproduction officer's m40 tropical field cap.
