Would love to see your bargains, I thought pickings were very slim indeed. Militaria wise not as good as Beltring by a long stick but it is a lot of fun to see the re-ennactors,a lot better for that than Beltring in my opinion ,and of course wide interest with all the ages represented. I got one of those P38's at Beltring ,good prices.

The Show was good for looking at the re-enactments but there was a load of rubbish to be had from the collector side. I did see a nice SS trumpet banner, and got a missing eagle I have been after for a few years, worth going just for the eagle.

On the down side I saw a re-enactor in a luftwaffe tropical getup get caught trying to steal a luftwaffe pilots badge from a german dealer, very sad, and to cap it all his wallet was full of cash. Makes one angry when you know that you have worked damb hard and made some sacrifices to get the stuff you want.

I will try the show again in the future, but if things dont look better next time I will give this one a miss.

So it wasn't just me then
What happened to the thief ? did the dealer and onlookers make a citizen arrest,or did everyone do the usual turn away and pretend they saw nothing
Did you see the Russian guy who was selling only fake stuff including tuns of SS, he was outside. I have an argument with him as he was trying to sell fake Luft buckles as original to a newbie for £55 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, and an SS one fr £90 !!. Of course he did not like It when I warned the buyer and asked me what i new about it etc etc etc ,bloody crook !

The thief got caught by a customer not by the dealer, the police where not called, though the german guy said he would, and so the man handed over all the cash he had and told the dealer to keep it, and got nothing in return, serves him right.

Makes you wonder how many times he done this before and got away with it.
