German positions in Northern Finland in 2004

Old Wehrmacht motor pool/supply area, autumn 2004. There were several car and truck wrecks scattered in the area. Some had those typical German tire pressure markings still visible on fenders.

Local "collector" has this ex. Wehrmacht 1939 Kapitän. It will probably end up in my garage during this summer. It was very likely "liberated" from same area that was shown in previous pictures.

From same supply base/motor park, probably CO's house or officers quarters used to be here.

One more picture from barracks area, one could see it used to be a quite large base. There were lots of small items scattered all over the place, I did find a rusted German M40 helmet, WH belt buckle, bicycle seat, beer and wine bottles, tools etc. There had been plenty other people searching this area before me for sure, but I didn't even have a metal detector with me so there must be a lots more stuff left.
