I do reenact as a " grunt" of the tropical lightning 25th Inf.Div.Of course, all my stuff is original, as cannot be made with german one due to its price.I also have two Labs white and black and they will reenact with me as soon as I get them a nice panzer wrap for dogs.....

Yes, I do agree with all of you in saying that nowadays there´s a few veritability in some impressions, but other's are quite good, and if you take some pictures of those perfect impressions with an old camera in black and white in a proper surroundings, you will nearly not be able to discern it from an original picture.Those are the impressions that I am following for.
Here in Spain, there are few reenactments and in most of them you see people that look like every other thing but germans in the 40's.
Thanks Ade for your info.It seems difficult to age a tunic,and now I see that if you committ a mistake, you may spoil a valuable item, so I prefer not to risk and leave it as it is, and time will do the rest.

Its always tough to see all those overweight perfectly attired reenactors and not lose faith in the effort.
I wont do it because even though I am still 5'11 and 168 pounds, at age 49 it just doesnt cut it. (unless I was a Colonel or at some administrative post...).
BTW, I have always noted that the insignia and emblems designed for Military uniforms look best on small sizes. They tend to become "drowned", so to speak, in a mass of cloth on the huge sizes and loose proportion and impressiveness.
This is the same on modern dress uniforms as well. The insignia worn on a modern US army class A uniform were designed a long time ago when men over size 38 were rare. They just look like tiny baubles stuck all over on a size 48 coat.
