Photo Grouping of Private Harry Nelson

I got this photo grouping from the son who was friends with my dad growing up. Harry Nelson was like a second father to my father and taught him a lot of cool tricks with building. The rest of the items are missing and were either sold at the moving sale the son was having or he has moved them to his new house so everything else is missing. He apparently brought back a large amount of german items and 3 shopping bags more of photos. They are nowhere to be seen. If anybody wants any more photos of any photo let me know and I will get a better one. My scanner isn't working right.... Will be searching for any more photos of this soldier....

Looks to be Patton??? Not sure but there is 3 and it looks to be france because of the writing on the cafe window..... Also not sure what the symbol is on the back...

Any info on him would be great. Have a feeling he was a supply unit because my dad always tells me Harry's stories of driving trucks around and nothing else....
