Appointment as Oberstleutnant, signed by Bundespräsident Theodor Heuss on 29.06.1956.

Also, below, is the signature of Theodor Blank, member of the German Bundestag and head of the "Amt Blank" (in charge of the re-establishment of the German armed forces).

Another photo of this great early 1957er KC, alongside other items that belonged to Hans Guhr.

The field-post number correspond to the Inf. Regiment 513

                    Merry X-mas to everyone!

From the estate of Hans Guhr (photo taken by his son, Michael)

At least 4 of the places mentioned match very well with the actions of 294. Inf.Div: Montargis - Niska Banja - Gussatschewka - Russkije Tischki

A great analysis was made by WAF member Archi http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...22&postcount=5

The mystery remains about the symbol in the middle (looks like the 122. Infanterie-Division "Greif" but in reverse )

Backside of the document, with a photo of a RKT who attended the ceremony?

                              2 sets of photos:

                              a) two photos taken a few months after the award ceremony. Private studio pictures that were attached to the album.

                              b) the upper picture (in low quality) was taken on December 1942; interesting to see he wears the KC on the side.
