I'm back, mchap...Lackland AFB was the induction center when I enlisted 10 Dec 1950..That's where we got our haircuts, uniforms ,dental checks and learned how to clean toilets and scrub floors and were generally abused by the Flight Leaders who mostly thought their job was to inflict pain and suffering on a bunch of 19 year old kids...Only enlisted troops went through Lackland as far as I know. Those that were accepted in the Air Cadet Program were inducted someplace else. I'm not sure where. I was at Lackland for about 2 weeks and was flown to Shepard AFB at Wichita Falls TX to complete Basic Training. I remember I was at Shepard New Years Eve 1950. After Basic I was flown to Lowery Field, Denver and we were held at what they called the annex waiting for transfer to the main facility to start Turret Systems Mechanic School. I was selected to go on flight duty so after TSM school I stayed at Lowery for flight training, then to Randolph Field, San Antonio for crew assignment, Survival Training at Camp Carson, CO, more training at Lake Charles LA and then to Japan in April, 1952....Now you probably know more about me than you care to...Stay in touch...Regards, JIM

ROBB...I just happened to be surfing this site looking at my stuff and noticed you are on line now,,,I sold this stuff to peter kuhlman because he represented to me that this would go into his personal collection and would not be sold...Hell, he must have had it on the net the next day...He sold it to "WADE" and Wade resold it to someone else and he can't remember who..I'm trying to locate it because there are a couple of things I want copies of or to buy back...You are an old hand at this site..maybe you have a suggestion how can I find the grouping..Any help would be appreciated...JIM...btw my email address is joyjimpiburn@juno.com...

              Jim,

Thread's a year and half old....

Any luck tracking your things down? I've read this thread with great interest. Thank you so much for sharing your stories. My grandfather Eugene Donnelly was the aircraft commander of both "All Shook" and "Sic 'em" (I'm sure you know this; I can see him there in 1 of your crew photos).

              Regards,
