WAF member "rijke88" is working on a book where he would like to present all highly decorated soldiers of 20.ID

As he does not yet have material on all (150!) soldiers, he hopes to find collectors who own documents, photos etc and are willing to cooperate.

Roger made a small preview on the pages of 1 of the soldiers (Erwin Koopmann) on his website:

Any help would be most welcome!!

                            Cheers,

                              To Katja Pohlmann,

I recently read your old post on Axis History Forum claiming that Erwin Koopmann is your grandfather; I have sent you two Emails and a private message but never received a reply… I know that you have visited this thread and I am posting here one more picture of Erwin and his mother Jane.

I would be happy to share more photos and documents with you.

                              Kind regards,
                              Robert

Note; I have also been told by WAF member "rijke88" that Erwin Koopmann's oldest son is still alive and has seen this thread.

A copy of the “Koopmann file” was finally obtained from the National Archives (NARA) in Washington, DC, thanks to the kind help of the forum moderator Paul Chepurko and member Mike Constandy.

The file has 8 pages, mostly concerning the pension to be given to Erwin’s family after his death.
