    Looking for Private Ruiz

Hi gents, by advance excuse my poor english, my misunderstanding or making mistakes but it’s my first post on the forum.
I need your help to find out this canteen’s history; it was found on a barn, near Fougères, France, more precisely in the Saint Jean de Couesnon village, on january 18, 2020.
    Description :
-Canteen Plastic (ethocel), mark US AI Co. 1943, American Insulator Corp. , marked with the Private’s name : RUIZ.
Plug type IV, black bakélite, written S 183, Gasket Cap Canteen lacking.
    -Cup M-1942 Porcelain Enamel, mark U.S. L.F.&C. 1942 Landers, Frary & Clark.
-Cover Canteen M-1910, type 2, mark M. W. & S. LTD 1944 BRITISH MADE Martin Wright &Sons Limited. Fastener, United Carr, Life The Dot. Strap made in weebling looking like a Cover Canteen Mounted M-1941, E.T.O., maybe for medical use.
    Hypothesis :
-After the DDay, the 79th ID reached Fougères and surroundings august 3, 1944.

-Corporal Robert T. RUIZ may be the owner. This name wasn’t found on the 79th ID’s roster yet.

What do you think about these hypothesis ?
    Thanks for your help.
