How to remove a bad decal from a good Helmet?

Can anyone give me any tips for trying to remove a decal with minimum further damage if at all possible?

      Decal removal

Try using the edge of a plastic credit card . Hot water and maybe a little soap if it was a water transfer type. If that doesn't work try nail polish remover or Brake parts cleaner (test a small area first) .

SLOW. Do a little than put it down. Pick it up the next day. If you try and do it at one sitting you will get impatient not be as careful and risk rubbing to hard, etc. Take your time don't be in a rush.

If its those crappy SS ones,i used masking tape folded over and kinda dabbed it and it pulled the decal off. Then lightly rubbed it with goof off.Its tough to remove the glue,so be gentle and take your time.
