The oddity underneath. There is still some texture, but I just thought the decal removal marks were odd.

Denazified, this was not done in wartime.

Whoever repainted it for post-war use used a small tool to remove the decal. That's about all there is to that.
Nothing odd about that IMHO.

Not a bad looking display piece form the right hand side.

Shame about the decal but a nice job removing the paint, what did you use to remove it?

I took the paint of some Norwegian reissues and a couple of those had the decals ground off ?one was a lovely camo.
