    Burlap for Display Backing

    Hello,

I had some left over Burlap from landscaping in my yard and thought it would make a nice backdrop to photograph some of my insignia.

I'm wondering though, would it be safe to leave insignia on the Burlap for long-term display?

    Thank You,
    John

Burlap unless treated properly can retain moisture
and mold and mildew. Nothing you would want next
    to cloth items.

The film "Idiocracy" was originally released as a comedy. Now it has been re-released as a documentary.

      Hi Ed,

That's interesting - thank you for your reply.

Am I wrong in thinking that mold/mildew can be monitored? I guess my bigger concern would be acid. I'm primarily a document collector, so all that stuff is on acid-free backing.

      Regards,
      John
